CR announces spl traffic & power block for FOB girder launch at Thane station

Central Railway has announced a Special Traffic and Power Block for the purpose of launching four girders for a 5-meter-wide Foot-over-Bridge (FOB) at Thane station.

Central Railway has announced a Special Traffic and Power Block for the purpose of launching four girders for a 5-meter-wide Foot-over-Bridge (FOB) at Thane station. This ambitious project, located at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) end of Thane station, specifically involves Platforms no 1 & 2 and the Down local line, with this block marking the launch of the sixth span.
According to the media statement by CR, the operation will be carried out on the intervening October 14 and 15 encompassing a total duration of five hours. The work will commence at 12.30 am and conclude at 5.30 am on Sunday.
