Cross-border peace film initiative in limbo

In March this year, some 12 filmmakers from both sides of the border had joined hands under a peace initiative of Zee — Zeal for Unity. Six directors from India — Nikhil Advani, Tanuja Chandra, Bejoy Nambiar, Ketan Mehta and Aparna Sen — and their Pakistani peers, like Mehreen Jabbar, Sabiha Sumar and Meenu Farjad, came together for an apolitical exchange to mark the 70th year of Partition.
