As the city is set to see the Dahi Handi celebrations on Saturday, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has directed all its healthcare facilities across Mumbai to be on standby.
According to a BMC spokesperson, Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Prajakta Verma Lavangare has directed all municipal healthcare facilities, including major and peripheral hospitals, to keep reserved beds for Govindas and also provide free treatment to them. The arrangements come as part of the annual preparations for the extensively celebrated festival.
