The Commissioner of Police D D Padsalgikar on Tuesday gave an assurance to Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta that all necessary help in the case of Deonar dumping ground will be extended by the Mumbai police.

The meeting comes on the backdrop of a fire at the dumping ground earlier this month. The BMC suspects sabotage in the matter and an FIR has also been filed against unknown persons.
