CBSE’s digital evaluation faces scrutiny as students flag blurry answer sheets

Rechecking deadline extended as students flag missing pages, marking issues

Several Std XII students were left shocked by their CBSE board results, prompting many to apply for re-evaluation. The board extended the re-evaluation deadline from May 19 to May 24 due to “unprecedented traffic” and “unauthorised interference” on the website.

This year, CBSE evaluated Std XII papers through the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, where scanned answer sheets were uploaded digitally for checking. While teachers marked papers in the usual way, the software handled mark tallying.
