DMRC to implement Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2 project

In what can be termed as a very important decision regarding the development of Mumbai and Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), the Maharashtra government has decided to handover the ambitious 18.5 km Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2 corridor to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for implementation.
The Executive Committee of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), headed by Swadhin Kshatriya, Chairman, Executive Committee, MMRDA and Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra on Thursday accorded administrative approval to the appointment of the DMRC to implement the 18.5-km long Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2 corridor and interim consultant for the 16.5-km long Dahisar (East) to Andheri (East) Metro-7 corridor.
