The Padmavati saga has now reached Pune. On Monday, the Rajput community from the Pimpri Chinchwad area organized a march to protest the movie and also handed over a letter to Pune's guardian minister Girish Bapat. Addressing the protesters, the minister said he has written to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Pune's top cops to stop the movie from being released in the city. The film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, has garnered a wave of protests across the country.
