BJP leader Raosaheb Danve on Tuesday defended MPs, MLAs and officials who came under criticism after a video showed them eating cashews and almonds during a meeting held to review drought conditions and crop losses in Nanded district of Maharashtra.
The video drew attention amid concerns over crop damage in several parts of the state, with farmers reporting losses caused by the prevailing conditions. Danve, however, said politicians should not be blamed simply because refreshments were served during official meetings or visits.
