Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reprimanded Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting doctors and medical staff at a civic-run hospital in Thane district, state Industries Minister Uday Samant said on Thursday.

The incident at Shastri Nagar Hospital, operated by the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), triggered widespread criticism after a video of the assault surfaced on social media.
