Final speed trial for Andheri-Goregaon extension a success!

Commuters can now expect the Andheri-Goregaon extension on the Harbour line to start functioning soon, as the final speed trials conducted on the new tracks by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), on Tuesday, were successful


The trials included local train runs at a speed of 100km/hour
Commuters can now expect the Andheri-Goregaon extension on the Harbour line to start functioning soon, as the final speed trials conducted on the new tracks by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), on Tuesday, were successful. Speaking to mid-day, Mukul Jain, divisional railway manager, Western Railway, said, “The trials were successful and there were no issues at all.” The trials which started with physical inspection of the tracks, was followed by Electrical Multiple Unit local train runs at a speed of 100km/hour on both the up and down lines.
