The officials said a fire broke out at a cafe located in a multi-storey residential building in Maharashtra's Thane city early Thursday morning, following which 35 persons were evacuated from the structure, reported news agency PTI.

No casualty has been reported as of now, Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said, reported PTI.
The blaze erupted in the Parsik Cafe located on the ground floor of the six-storey building at Kharegaon in Kalwa (West), he said.
The disaster management cell received information about the incident at 4.58 am from the owner of the cafe, a 1,000 sq ft establishment situated in the Chandrabhaga Park complex at Parsik Nagar in Kalwa area, the official said, reported PTI.
The building, a six-storey structure, also houses another wing, where residents were asleep when the blaze broke out.
"For safety reasons, all residents of Chandrabhaga Park B Wing were safely evacuated with the help of the fire department and disaster management cell personnel," Tadvi stated, reported PTI.
The blaze caused significant damage inside the cafe, destroying tables, chairs, grates, fridges, cupboards and other kitchen materials, he said, reported PTI.
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was extinguished by 6.25 am, the official said.
Authorities were investigating the cause of the fire, he added.
Fire breaks out at textile processing unit in Thane district
In another incident, in July, A fire broke out at a cloth processing unit in an industrial belt in Maharashtra's Thane district, an official said, reported news agency PTI.
No one was injured in the factory fire that erupted at MIDC in Dombivali around 12.30 pm, he said.
Five fire engines from the local fire station and nearby areas and a team of emergency responders were rushed to the spot behind the Manpada police station, the official said, reported PTI.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the official added.
Fire breaks out at Thane high-rise
In June, a fire had broken out at a 14-storey residential building in the Mumbra area of Maharashtra's Thane district in the early hours of June 8, reported PTI.
They said there was no report of any casualty.
The Sheel Fire Station reported the blaze at 2.54 am to the disaster control room.
The fire originated in an electric duct between the fourth and seventh floors of the A-wing of the S K Residency building, located near Mumbra bypass, Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said, reported PTI.
