Nine two-wheelers were gutted in a fire that broke out at an open ground in Maharashtra's Thane city early on Monday, officials said, reported news agency PTI.

No person was injured in the incident, which occurred in the Kopri area, they said.


"We received the fire alert at 4.14 am from the Kopri Fire Station. Nine motorcycles and scooters parked in an open ground at K L Colony, Gandhi Nagar, Kopri, were found engulfed in flames," Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said, reported PTI.



Firefighters rushed to the location and the blaze was doused by 4.35 am, he said.

"All the vehicles were completely burnt and damaged beyond repair. No person was injured in the incident," the official said, reported PTI.

The cause of the fire was being investigated.

Maharashtra: Fire breaks out in chemical factory in Jalgaon

In another incident, a fire broke out at Aryavart Chemicals in Jalgaon, officials said on Friday, reported ANI.

District Collector Rohan Ghuge said fire tenders and police are on the spot, and efforts are underway to control the blaze.

Fortunately, all 12 people inside the factory have been safely evacuated, and no casualties have been reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown, reported ANI.

Speaking to ANI, Rohan Ghuge said, "A fire has broken out at Aryavart Chemicals. Fire tenders and police are present at the site, and we are working to control the blaze. Fortunately, there have been no casualties. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Initial reports indicate that 12 people were inside the building, and everyone has been safely evacuated."

Fire breaks out in mobile tower panel in Thane; none hurt

Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the electric server panel of a mobile tower in Maharashtra's Thane city on Friday morning, a civic official said, reported PTI.

The incident occurred on Indira Pada Hill in the Ghodbunder Road area around 10.25 am, the official said.

Firefighters, along with a rescue team, disaster management personnel, and employees from the company and electricity department, rushed to the site, and the blaze was brought under control in an hour, reported PTI.

"The fire has been completely extinguished, and no one was injured at the scene," said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Disaster Management Cell.
