A fire broke out in the meter cabin on the first floor of a <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-fire-fire-breaks-out-on-11th-floor-of-vile-parle-building-in-mumbai-23644310" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">high-rise building in Mumbai</a>'s Byculla on Thursday afternoon, officials said, adding that no injuries were reported in the incident.
The incident was reported at around 12.24 pm at Alivn Tower, B Wing, on Maulana Azad Road, opposite Nagori Nursing Home, near Samudra Hotel in Madanpura.
The building is a ground-plus-22-storey structure.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Mumbai Fire Brigade control room, the fire was confined to the meter cabin on the first floor.
The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/vile-parle-resident-reaches-fire-site-before-firefighters-helps-in-rescue-efforts-23644517" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai Fire Brigade</a> was immediately alerted and fire-fighting operations were launched. The fire was reported to have been fully extinguished by 1.25 pm.
<h2>Multiple agencies deployed</h2>
The Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, BEST, 108 ambulance services and ward staff were mobilised following the incident.
There were no injuries reported in the incident, according to the information available so far.

Meanwhile, in an another incident this week, two people were killed and six others injured after a fire broke out in two flats on the 11th floor of a high-rise building on Baptista Road in Vile Parle West on Tuesday night.
As per the information received from the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/pedestrian-first-campaign-bmc-conducts-demolition-drive-in-mulund-removes-40-monsoon-sheds-8-shops-and-30-hawkers-23644292" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)</a>, the fire was reported at around 10:02 pm on August 11 on the 11th floor of a stilt-plus-11-storey Shanta Bhavan building on Church Road, near St Xavier School, Vile Parle West.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade initially declared the incident as Level I at 10:08 pm before escalating it to Level II at 10:16 pm.
The fire was confined to electrical wiring, electrical installations, an air-conditioning unit and household articles, including a sofa, bed, false ceiling and kitchen utensils, spread across an area of around 4,000 square feet in Flat Nos. 1101 and 1102.
According to the officials, soon after the operations began, the fire was brought under control and extinguished at around 1 am. The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/kurla-landslide-6-8-feared-trapped-in-mumbai-gaushiya-chawl-2-suspected-dead-bodies-recovered-23644357" rel="nofollow">BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade</a>, police, the concerned electricity distribution company, 108 ambulance services and BMC ward staff were mobilised during the operation.
