For first time ever, mercury falls to 0°C in Mahabaleshwar

For first time ever, mercury falls to 0°C in Mahabaleshwar

Mahabaleshwar recorded its lowest temperature, at 0 degree Celsius, on Tuesday night, for the very first time. The weather in Mumbai has also been pleasant for the past five days.


Mahabaleshwar's temperature was 6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning and 9 degrees Celsius in the afternoon and in the evening. 


According to the weather department, at Venna Lake, the temperature was around 2.8 degrees Celsius at 6 pm before falling to 0 degree Celsius. On Monday night, it was 6 degrees Celsius. 


In Mumbai, the mercury dropped after the sudden rain on Saturday. It recorded its lowest of 13.2 degrees Celsius on Monday. On Tuesday, the temperature was 27.3 degrees Celsius during the day and at night. It was 14.4 degrees Celsius at Santacruz and 16.2 degrees Celsius at Colaba. In the coming days, the mercury is expected to fall to 17.3 degrees Celsius at night.

Even Gujarat, the neighbouring state, has been witnessing a drop in temperature. In Rajasthan's Mount Abu, bordering Gujarat, it was -3 degrees Celsius over the past few days.  The temperature will drop below 10 degrees Celsius at several places in Gujarat.
