Union minister Anurag Thakur has said that from Amrit Kaal, India is entering a Swarna Kaal and is also moving towards becoming a developed nation, reported news agency PTI.

Anurag Thakur, Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports, was speaking at the 38th Rambhau Mhalgi Lecture Series at Thane in Maharashtra.

"We want to establish Ram Rajya based on the philosophy of Sabka Saath Sabka Vishwas by bringing together all religions, castes and sects. Ram is the symbol of unity and humanism", an official release Wednesday quoted Anurag Thakur as saying, reported PTI.

Thakur said India is being rebuilt through Digital India. "Today the whole world is looking towards India with great hope," he added, reported PTI.

He expressed the belief that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's economy will become the third largest economy in the world in the coming years.

A lot of work has been done in the last 9 years for the welfare of the poor and underprivileged, Anurag Thakur said, reported PTI.

Thakur said India is progressing rapidly in many fields. The government is doing great work in many fields in a short period of time, he added, reported PTI.

Under PM Modi's leadership, progress is being made towards a self-reliant India, he said, adding efforts are underway to create a developed new India, reported PTI.

Earlier, as the INDIA bloc juggled with seat-sharing among its constituents, Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday took a dig at the opposition alliance, saying the differences among its members shows that they do not have a leader who can take everyone along, reported PTI.

Talking to reporters in Mumbai, Thakur said people were not even looking at the opposition alliance because of their inability to take decisions, reported PTI.

"The arrogance of the INDI Alliance is such that they do not have a leader, or a policy or intent. Now, the differences over seat sharing show that they do not have a leader who can take everyone along. People are not even looking at them because they are unable to decide," the senior BJP leader said, reported PTI.

Thakur is on a four-day visit to Maharashtra, and during it, he will flag off Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra vans in the South Central Mumbai and South Mumbai Lok Sabha constituencies, and attend the National Youth Festival in Nasik, reported PTI.

Thakur said while the opposition alliance was coming across as indecisive, India has a decisive leader in Prime Minister Narendra Modi who introduced good policies and implemented them effectively. For these, he is known the world over, the Union minister said, reported PTI.
