It is unlucky number 13, they say, but the figure has proved hugely lucky for COVID-afflicted plasma recipients, thanks to Andheri resident Bhavesh Bhanushali. Bhavesh donated his plasma for the 13th time on April 15 at a hospital in the western suburbs, living up to his label of ‘plasma warrior’ and turning his challenging COVID journey into one that has brought health and healing to others.
Bhavesh, 34, rolled the year back to June 2020. He said, “I experienced COVID-like symptoms. I used to go to work. I own a cloud kitchen, which is essentially a food delivery place and has no space for dine-in. Orders are taken online or on calls. My labour force used to stay on site, but I needed to commute to work.”
