The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday issued a set of guidelines for devotees and public Ganesh mandals during Ganeshotsav 2026, urging them to maintain cleanliness, follow fire-safety measures, and ensure food safety while preparing and distributing prasad.

The civic body has asked mandals to keep the areas around Ganesh pandals clean and avoid noise pollution. They have also been instructed not to store inflammable material on pandal premises and to keep fire-prevention equipment readily available.
