Gokul row: Satej Patil says govt insulted Kolhapur, announces protest march on November 9

The announcement comes days after a panel backed by Patil defeated a panel supported by the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti in elections to the Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, commonly known as Gokul Dairy

Congress MLA Satej Patil on Thursday accused the Maharashtra government of insulting the people of Kolhapur by attempting to take control of Gokul Dairy, and announced a protest march against the move on November 9.
“This is not a personal vendetta against me....it is against the mandate of Kolhapur''s people. The government has insulted the people of Kolhapur and hurt their self-respect,” he said.
