The CAG, which has flayed the BMC over its handling of the construction of pumping stations in the city, has trained its guns at the civic body over the closure of the Gorai dumping ground as well, accusing it of making an ‘illegal’ payment which has led to a loss of R1.19 crore to the exchequer.
