The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday carried out a major demolition drive in Amar Nagar and Khindipada, removing 150 unauthorised residential and commercial structures that were obstructing the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road project, officials said.

The action was undertaken by the encroachment removal team of the T Ward office as part of efforts to facilitate the construction of the important east-west connectivity corridor.
