If you&rsquo;re unhappy about the condition of the city&rsquo;s highways, you can now simply dial a dedicated toll-free number of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) to air your grievances.

The new toll-free number will accept both complaints and suggestions for improvements for roads handled by the MSRDC, such as the flyovers on the Western and Eastern express highways, as well as the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and old Mumbai-Pune highway.
Pursuant to the orders by the Bombay High Court in PIL number 71 of 2013, the MSRDC has made several options available to the public so they can register their complaints. If motorists encounter any potholes or other problems on these roads, they can call on the transport agency&rsquo;s number or on dedicated toll-free numbers of the BMC or even write to the Bandra office of MSRDC.
Within the city, MSRDC controls 27 flyovers across the Western, Eastern and Sion-Panvel freeways. These are maintained by Mumbai Entry Point Limited (MEPL), which collects toll at the five entry-exit points to Mumbai.
However, officials from MSRDC said more complaints were likely to come in for the highways connecting Mumbai and Pune, particularly the old highway, where motorists have often expressed a need for more reflectors, signboards and speed control checks.
