According to police, the girl's parents found her hanging with the ceiling fan in her bedroom at around 6 PM on Tuesday at their residence in Iraniwadi, Kandivali.

The 16-year-old boy, whose name has not been disclosed as he is a minor, was on Wednesday taken into custody under section 305 (abetment of suicide of child or insane person) of IPC, police said.
