HC issues warning concerning property damage during bandhs

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday warned that if authorities fail to act against those who disrupt normal life during 'bandh' (general strikes) as per the court's directives in 2004, they will face action for contempt of court.

In 2004, High Court had fined Shiv Sena and BJP for destruction of property and disruption of life during a bandh called by the two parties.
