HC refuses to stop demolition of 107-year-old LIC building

<p>Observing that demolition of the century-old dilapidated building owned by insurance giant LIC in south Mumbai was inevitable, the Bombay High Court today refused to quash an order passed by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai for razing the structure.</p>

A division bench of justices A S Oka and Revati Mohite-Dere was hearing a petition filed by the tenants of the building challenging the municipal commissioner's May 5 order.
