Vishal Mahadik and Santosh Kamble, were stabbed to death at the Wadala Truck Terminus by a group of five, who attacked them with choppers, sickles and knives. According to the police, around 5 pm yesterday, Laxman Sudalimuthu, along with four of his colleagues, assaulted Mahadik and Kamble, stabbing them 20 times.

"Mahadik was a history-sheeter and had several cases registered against him. Primarily, the motive behind the attack appears to be a dispute over illegal rental of transit camp flats," said an officer from Wadala TT police station.

Sudalimuthu, who was injured in the attack, was rushed to the Sion Hospital along with Mahadik and Kamble. However, the duo was declared dead on arrival by the hospital authorities.

"This is the second murder incident in the area. The previous one had occurred just a fortnight ago," said a local.
