Ignore groping. It is harmless

Desi travel portal shocks with world's worst travel advice...

Call it the worst piece of travel advice in the world, or simply a passport to puerile writing. A travel portal called Bharatonline.com has given a ridiculous piece of advice to foreign women in its 'Dealing with Strangers in India'
section.

Just ignore such people and enjoy your trip. Avoid any sort of confrontation, and totally drop the idea of a physical altercation. Indians frown upon the idea of violence and physical fighting is usually a last resort".

Dharmendra Pratap Singh, manager, online business promotion, of the Noida-based Savion Group, which is the parent company of Bharatonline.com, was disconcerted when this was brought to his notice. "This should not have been written. There seems to be some mistake. Being groped is harmful, not harmless."

The pointer was removed within a few hours of his conversation with MiD DAY.
However, it's disturbing to note that Bharatonline.com had not spotted the "mistake" till this reporter brought it to their attention.u00a0

Kick him

The mistake, meanwhile, was spotted by several netizens. An outraged reader wrote on www.karmayog.org, a networking site where individuals and corporates discuss Mumbai's civic issues, "This makes groping out to be almost a cultural characteristic, like eating with your hands.

I'd speculate that it was either written by an idiot foreigner with a sub-30 IQ, or an Indian molester. If you are a tourist, anywhere, you should take the opposite attitude. Do not tolerate groping; kick the ass of the person who gropes. And if you feel like giving him a kick in the nuts, go right ahead. We have a billion people already in this country, one less procreator is no loss."

Ironically, this five-year-old travel portal claims to be recognised by the Department of Tourism, Govt of India, the American Society of Travel Agents and the Indian Association of Tour Operators.
