Students and activists gathered at Azad Maidan on October 21 to form the ‘Justice for Sahil Joint Action Committee’ and plan the next course of protests following the death of 20-year-old Sahil Wakode at IIT Bombay.
Previously, Wakode’s father filed an FIR under sections relating to abetment to suicide and the SC/ST Atrocities Act. Meanwhile, members of the Aamchi Padhai Aamchi Ladhai group staged a silent protest outside Mumbai University.
