IIT Bombay student death: Institute removes Prof Suryanarayana Doola as dean after student protests

Student sources told mid-day that they received an email from the institute on Monday morning informing them about the change. Doola had previously served as Dean of Student Affairs before taking charge as Dean of Administrative Affairs

In the latest development about the IIT Bombay student death case on September 18, the institute has removed Prof Suryanarayana Doola from his position as dean of administrative affairs, while he will continue to serve as a professor there.
The development comes days after a student death on campus triggered demonstrations by campus residents, who submitted 18 demands to IIT Bombay officials.
