A student of IIT-Bombay in Powai was served a notice by the authorities after his hostel mates complained about the 11 cats he had adopted and kept in his room. Faisal Momin (name changed) had taken in the animals, as he was a cat lover. He fed them and took care of them for several months. But, gradually their numbers increased.

The authorities of IIT Bombay locked Faisal Momin’s room on January 9 to prevent him from entering. Momin was served a final notice on January 15 for keeping felines in his room. Representational pic
