Maharashtra State Commission for Safai Karamcharis' Vice-Chairman Mukesh Sonu Sarwan has directed authorities to ensure the effective implementation of welfare schemes meant for sanitation workers in Mumbai.

He issued the instructions during a review meeting held at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters on Friday.
