Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has criticised restrictions on public protests in Delhi, accusing the government of imposing an “emergency without the guts to call it so” ahead of a proposed demonstration at Jantar Mantar on October 10.

In a post on X, Thackeray responded to remarks by Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shrishti Pandey regarding the proposed protest organised by the CJP. He questioned the restrictions on public gatherings and alleged that the government was undermining democratic rights.
