Indian Coast Guard rescues 11 crew members on board fishing boat after its engine fails mid-sea

The Indian Coast Guard on Sunday said that it successfully rescued 11 crew members aboard an Indian fishing boat in the Arabian Sea

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Sunday said that it successfully rescued 11 crew members aboard the Indian fishing boat--King (IND-TN-12-MM-6466) in the Arabian Sea near the Exclusive Economic Zone of Lakshadweep Islands on February 7, 2024. 

The boat had suffered an engine failure, finding itself in dire straits approximately 280 nautical miles west of Minicoy Island when the distress signal was sent out, an official statement said.
