A technical glitch led to a delay in the announcement of Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations results, which were to be announced at 3 pm on Saturday.

While some schools waited to get hold of their results till late evening, many decided to wait till Monday.
<img src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/2014/jul/aratrika-photo.jpg" alt="" /> Aratrika Choudhuri, a student of Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School in Thane, scored 99% &ldquo;As it was a Saturday, we waited in school till 5.30 pm to get the results, but the server was down and we had no access to the scores. By late evening, around 6 pm, only a handful of our students managed to get their scores via SMS,&rdquo; said Sonu Arora, vice principal of Gundecha Academy, Kandivli East. &ldquo;There was a technical error which caused problems and students as well as schools could not access their scores. However the matter was solved by evening,&rdquo; said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). At a press conference held in Delhi, the board announced all-India toppers as well. While Ayush Banerjee from Jamshedpur was stated as the ISC 2014 all-India topper with his 99.25 per cent, Shruti Agrawal from Lucknow and Rohini Chandrashekhar from Kanpur shared the second rank with their 99 per cent. Many students who sought to get their results via the SMS service were also disheartened, as they didn&rsquo;t get their scores till late on Saturday. &ldquo;Since the website was not working, my friends and I tried getting our scores through the SMS system, but except for one of my friends, nobody else got the score,&rdquo; said Akriti Patel, an ISC student. The lucky one was Aratrika Choudhuri, student of Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School in Thane, who managed to get her score by 3.30 pm, and had every reason to celebrate. &ldquo;I was shocked as well as happy to see that I had scored 99 per cent in the exam.
I hope this score helps me get through to the best law school in the country,&rdquo; she said. However, being an NRI, with the US citizenship, Choudhuri will not get through the best law institute in the country. &ldquo;Only students from SAARC countries are allowed to apply to the best law institute in this country, which is situated in Bangalore. I am hoping to get through the second best college in Hyderabad now,&rdquo; she added.
