ISIS suspect detained in Thane

A 35-year-old man from Mumbra and ISIS (Islamic State of Syria in Iraq) suspect was detained by a joint team of Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad, Thane Unit and National Investigation Agency late on Thursday night.
The officers who did not reveal the name of the suspect claim that he is a resident of Amrut Nagar in Mumbra and a graduate from a Thane-based college. At present, he is jobless. “A team of investigation agencies were continuously following up on him from the past few months through local sources from Mumbra, as the suspect was active on social networking sites," said officers from ATS.
