J Dey trial: Cops saw bullet marks on slain journalist's body

The first two witnesses in the J Dey murder case deposed before the Special MCOCA court yesterday. Dey, who was Editor (Investigations) of mid-day, was shot dead in Powai on June 11, 2011, when he was on his way home on his motorcycle.

The first witness in the case was a constable, who was the first person from the police to be informed about the firing. During his examination by Special Public Prosecutor Raja Thakre, the constable told the court that he was attached to the Powai police station from 2008 to 2014.
