The chargesheet filed by the RCF police against Janhavi Gadkar revealed that only 3 ml of blood was extracted to test the alcohol content at civic-run Shatabdi Hospital at 3 am on the night of the accident.

On June 10 Gadkar, a 32-year-old lawyer, was arrested after she drove her car on the wrong side of the Eastern Freeway, killing two and injuring four. According to the Bombay Prohibition Act, at least 5 ml of blood must be extracted.
The alcohol content in her blood was found to be 0.192 mg. The permissible limit is 0.030 mg. Gadkar had failed the breathalyser test post arrest. At the time she had incoherent speech, unsteady gait and dilated pupils. A 560-page chargesheet was filed in August. Fifty-seven out of 107 witnesses have recorded their statements.
The chargesheet includes the statements of two prime witnesses, her colleagues Rahul Dutt (38) and Alok Agarwal (57). Dutt, in his statement, said, &ldquo;On June 9, we decided to celebrate since we had bagged a new project...Gadkar ordered three large whiskies, but I am not sure whether she finished her last drink.

Around 9 pm, she paid the bill. We left the hotel after an hour at 10 pm in our respective cars.&rdquo; Meanwhile, Agarwal, the CFO Finance of Reliance Industries, said, &ldquo;On the day of incident, I had met Gadkar at the Irish House club at Kala Ghoda to discuss her recent work trip to America. We had two glasses of 500 ml of beer each, along with food. After our meal, we left in our respective cars at 12.40 am.&rdquo;
Agarwal also stated that after reaching home, he called Gadkar to ensure she had reached, but her phone went unanswered. &ldquo;Around 2 am, she called me to inform that she had been involved in a small accident and that she would call me later. My colleague informed about the incident when I reported to office the next day.&rdquo;
