A 45-year-old Kalbadevi-based jeweller allegedly repeatedly raped a 43-year-old woman, telling her that he would return her mortgaged ornaments worth Rs 31 lakh only if she maintained physical relations with him. The accused, Rakesh Shah, was arrested two weeks ago. His father, Babulal Ratanchand Shah (68), who has also been accused of molesting the woman, is on the run.
