In an editorial in its mouthpiece 'Saamana', the Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) said Tamil Nadu has stepped into a new political era after actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party, TVK, secured a historic mandate to form the government.

The editorial noted that this outcome has broken the decades-long rotation of power between the DMK and AIADMK. However, it also warned that the road ahead for the new government is likely to be challenging, according to IANS reports.
