The Juhu police have cracked the alleged dacoity case, arresting six persons who had entered a bungalow situated along Juhu beach last month and fled with valuables after assaulting a senior citizen and tying up his servants.

The accused include a servant who was working at the bungalow and pretended to be a victim during the alleged dacoity, and another person who once worked there as a plumber. The incident had occurred at around 2 am on July 31 in Jaimata Kutir bungalow on Gandhigram road in Juhu.
Six unidentified people entered the bungalow and attacked the complainant, Harishchandra Mishra (69), with a sickle, injuring both his hands. The dacoits then tied up the five domestic helps and decamped with three mobile phones, 45 grams of gold ornaments and watches: all worth Rs 2.23 lakh.
The bungalow&rsquo;s ownership is disputed, and another angle, which was being probed and now has been ruled out, was the dacoity being planned over the fallout between the owner and the complainant Harishchandra Mishra&rsquo;s brother Romesh Sharma, who was earlier known as Romesh Mishra.
Inside job One of the accused was working there as a servant. It was his idea and he passed it on to a plumber who got the other accused together and hatched the entire plan. One of the accused has a robbery case against him while another father-son duo has NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases against them.
Cops have recovered R53,600 and the weapons used in the crime. The bungalow had CCTV surveillance and the attackers cut off the connection to all eight CCTV cameras. The dacoits also took away the recording device of the cameras. They were also dressed in shorts and vests and their faces were covered.
&ldquo;We nabbed the accused from Osmanabad and Mumbai. They are Shankar Kale (45), Dadya Kale (35), Sunil Shinde (19), Ambadas Shinde (55), Prakash Patil (55) the plumber and Sarvan Das (32) the servant,&rdquo; said API Srinivas Chewale from Juhu police station.
