In drought-hit Latur, kidney stone and urinary tract infection cases have significantly risen due to consumption of bore well water.

“The administration is supplying impure water and due to lack of surface water, people are forced to drink water from borewells,” urologist Dr Hansraj Baheti of Latur said.
