A leopard strayed its way into a house at Varlipada tribal hamlet, adjacent to the Shree Nagar area, in Thane West on late Friday night.
Confirming the incident, a forest department official said, “At around 9 pm on Friday a leopard came to the Varlipada tribal hamlet, which is close to the boundary of SGNP, with an intention to catch a hen, when people suddenly saw the leopard and tried to drive it away. In this ensuing commotion, the animal ended up entering a house, which we immediately got vacated.”
