A 17-year-old struggling actor was raped by several men since the past few months after she was lured on the pretext of a good offer in films. The Goregaon police have arrested two women and a man who had made video clips of the survivor while she was being gang raped, to blackmail her.

The survivor is a resident of Goregaon (west). She came in contact with the accused through mutual friends. The three accused run an event management company and recruited girls for events, film shooting and related activities. The accused promised the girl a great opportunity for her career.
The girl was taken by the accused to Ahmedabad in August where she was gang raped by three people. The atrocity was filmed by the accused. Later, in Bhadoli (near Surat) she was raped by one person. Finally, the survivor was again taken to Ahmedabad in October where she was raped by two men.

When the survivor reached Mumbai on November 4, she decided to reveal everything to her parents. They took her to Goregaon police station and lodged an FIR against the three who were running a prostitution racket under the guise of an event management business. Doctors confirmed that the minor girl had been raped.
According to Goregaon police station sources, &ldquo;As per the victim&rsquo;s statement, around three months back, she was gang raped by three unidentified persons inside a hotel for the first time in Ahmedabad.&rdquo;
The police have registered an FIR against Shahzia Shamsi (26), Zoya Sheikh (18) and Nitin Mhatre (36). Shamsi and Sheikh are residents of Mira Road, while Mhatre is a Bhayandar resident.

Shamsi and Sheikh were arrested from Mira Road a few days back, and Mhatre was arrested from Bhayandar. The cops also suspect that the accused persons were running a racket, which used to sell girls to customers and push them into prostitution. The three accused have been arrested and remanded to police custody till Monday.
