Maharashtra: ACB probes complaint against MoS for Home

Minister of State for Home (Urban) Dr Ranjit Patil finds himself in an embarrassing position as the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken note of a complaint lodged against him. The ACB headquarters has asked its local unit in Akola, Patil’s home district, to probe the veracity of the complaint.
Sources said the complaint alleges, among several other things, that the minister a reputed orthopaedic surgeon in Akola holds disproportionate assets. ACB chief (DGP) Praveen Dixit confirmed to mid-day yesterday that the complaint had been received by his office and it had been forwarded to the Akola unit.
