Mumbai: Party won't contest Andheri East Assembly bypoll, says BJP; its candidate to withdraw nomination

On Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Maharashtra party chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced that they will not contest the Andheri East bypoll election on November 3.
"The BJP has decided not to contest the Andheri East bypoll. Murji Patel, who had filed the nomination from the BJP, will now withdraw it. We could have otherwise won the election," Bawankule.
