Maharashtra State Election Commission announces dates for civic polls, here's all you need to know

Polling will be conducted using electronic voting machines (EVMs) to elect 6,859 members and 288 presidents across the 246 municipal councils and 42 nagar panchayats on December 2

Elections in 246 municipal councils and 42 nagar panchayats across Maharashtra are scheduled to take place on December 2, with counting of votes set for December 3, Maharashtra State Election Commissioner Dinesh Waghmare announced on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Waghmare did not announce the election schedule for 29 municipal corporations, 32 zilla parishads, and 336 panchayat samitis, where polls are also due.
