Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan performed the bhoomi pujan of Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Metro III on Tuesday in the premises of the Marol Fire Brigade in suburban Andheri.

Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu was also present on the occasion along with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Guardian Minister (suburbs) Naseem Khan, Guardian Minister (city) Jayant Patil along with other ministers, officials from MMRDA, BMC and JICA, which is funding the project.
