Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal on Monday criticised the acquittal of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in a sexual harassment case, calling it the country's misfortune under a 'mute, deaf, and blind' government.

Speaking to PTI Videos, Sapkal expressed disappointment over the Delhi court's verdict and remarked on the timing of the decision, saying it had undermined the honour of athletes who had brought laurels to the country at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games.
