Fire breaks out in car at Kalwa-Mumbra Road in Thane, driver escapes unhurt

Fire brigade personnel from the Retibandar Fire Station rushed to the spot along with one fire engine and a rescue vehicle. Traffic police personnel and staff from the disaster management department were also present during the operation

A car was completely destroyed after it caught fire near Kharegaon Toll Naka on the Kalwa-Mumbra Road in Thane district of Maharashtra, officials said on Sunday, adding that the driver of the vehicle escaped unhurt in the incident.
They said that the vehicle caught fire at the Retibandar in Kalwa area on Sunday afternoon.
