Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari was denied permission to use a state-owned aircraft to travel to Dehradun on Thursday, prompting the BJP to demand an apology over the incident. Sources said the governor had boarded the aircraft when he learnt that he would not be able to fly in it. Koshyari later took a commercial flight to his home state.

The episode added a new chapter in the uneasy ties between the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the governor.
