Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday announced a comprehensive plan to develop Chondi village, the birthplace of Ahilyabai Holkar, into a major heritage and tourism destination, with a focus on infrastructure, conservation, and cultural promotion.
Rs 681-crore project to transform memorial site
Chairing a high-level review meeting, Fadnavis said the state has earmarked Rs 681 crore for the overall development of the memorial site in Chondi. The project aims to highlight the life and legacy of Ahilyabai Holkar while creating a modern tourism hub.
